A running list of who’s on the treatment table and when we can expect them back in action.

Neil Farrugia

Injury: “A knock.”
How long out? He’ll miss the last game of the season.
Latest update: 15/05/26

The winger picked up an injury during the midweek clash against Livingston and will miss the final game of the season. His injury is not thought to be particularly serious.

Dario Naamo

Injury: Another knock.
How long out? He’ll miss the last game of the season.
Latest update: 15/05/26

Naamo picked up a foot injury at Pittodrie. While a scan dismissed fears that he may have fractured his foot, he’s unlikely to feature in the final game of the season.

Amar Fatah

Injury: Hamstring.
How long out? Season over.
Latest update: 25/04/26

Amar Fatah left Tannadice on crutches after crumpling to the ground less than 15 minutes into the clash against Livingston. You could almost hear the collective wail from the stands when Fatah hit the deck clutching his hamstring after attempting to catch a wayward pass from Vicko Sevelj. Flanked by two United medics, Fatah struggled to walk unaided and was later seen on crutches in the stands. He bid farewell to the United support, making an appearance before kick off at the final home game of the season.

Luca Stephenson

Injury: Hamstring.
How long out? Season over.
Latest update: 25/04/26

When the team facing Livingston was announced, United fans had one question: “Where’s Luca?” The Liverpool loanee, who returned to Tannadice for a second stint, has quietly become one of United’s most important players and has even led the team out this season. Stephenson’s 24/25 campaign also ended prematurely when he required surgery for a double hernia, which it emerged he had been playing through for months. Stephenson appeared before kick off at the Dundee derby to say goodbye to United supporters for the final time.

Ashley Maynard-Brewer

Injury: Dislocated shoulder.
How long out? Season over — and he’s out of contract.
Latest update: 8/04/26

Ashley Maynard-Brewer was recruited on an initial six-month deal to see how he fared as United’s new No. 1. Unfortunately, he has all but been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder against Rangers. It is not clear yet whether the 26-year-old Australian will require surgery.

“Ash is going for an X-ray so we will have to wait for the results from that,” Jim Goodwin said. “It’s unlikely he will feature again this season, I would imagine, but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. It’s a real shame for him.”

United have recalled Scotland U/21 international Ruairidh Adams from East Fife on a rolling emergency seven-day basis to deputise for Dave Richards.

Kristijan Trapanovski

Injury: Knee ligament damage.
How long out? Season over — and he’s out of contract.
Latest update: 31/03/26

Kristijan Trapanovski is to go undergo knee surgery, ending his season prematurely. The Macedonian, who also missed the start of the 25/26 campaign due to a hamstring injury, is in the final year of his contract with a club-held option to extend for one more season. He has been out of action since being forced off at United’s ill-fated Scottish Cup Quarter Final clash at the Falkirk Stadium.

“Trapa will require surgery on his knee,” manager Jim Goodwin said. “Unfortunately, he hurt it a few weeks ago and required scans and specialist advice. “We were hoping to try and avoid going down that route, but all the advice that we’ve had from specialists, and the medical team’s opinion, is this is the best thing for him; to give him the best chance of recovering fully.”

Isaac Pappoe

Injury: Knee ligament
How long out? He’ll never kick a ball for United again.
Latest update: 2/02/26

A serious knee injury ended Issac Pappoe’s season at Tannadice before it even began.

Arriving on loan from Ferencvaros in the summer, Pappoe was earmarked to make a positive impact in the middle of the park and put in an encouraging pre-season stint. However, when he went to the ground against Rapid Vienna, the Ghanaian midfielder’s face said it all.

He underwent knee surgery in September for serious ligament damage. At the time, when if there was any chance of seeing Pappoe in action as a United player again, Goodwin said: “I hope he can play a part, I really do. More for the boy than anything else.”

However, it was always a long shot and, unfortunately, Pappoe’s season is over. In January The Courier reported that United were in talks to return Pappoe to his parent club. However, it appears that his parent club were happy for us to foot the medical bills until the end of the season.

All the best to Pappoe with the rest of his recovery. He could have been great for us.
